Thian Hock Keng Temple in Singapore
Thian Hock Keng Temple is one of the oldest Chinese temples built withauthentic Chinese temple architectural traditions in Singapore. Recognized at the national monument on 28 June, 1973 this revered and grandeur temple is built with great skilled craftsmen that catch the attention of tourist and travellers from far and wide.
The elegant temple with intricate carving was built by the Chinese local leaders, Tan Tock Seng and Si Hoo Keh, with the purpose for a place to worship goddess Matsu (Ma Cho Po) as well as meeting place for other Chinese people of Hokkien clan.
